Membership

Members are representative of the rich diversity of public, independent and proprietary institutions throughout Missouri and are representative of different regions and varying size campuses. The Homeland Security Coordinator serves as an ex-officio member of the HES. The higher education official on the HSAC serves as the chair of HES. The committee is limited in size to 25 members. Appointments to HES are made by the Director of Public Safety in consultation with the HES chair. The following groups have at least one representative on HES:

• Local Law Enforcement and Fire Safety;
• Campus Public Safety;
• Students, Faculty, & Administrators;
• Mental Health and Health-Related Professions;
• and Information Technology.
